This machine performs surface scanning and identification on veneers of varying thicknesses, dimensions, and wood species. It analyzes detected surface defects (such as dead knots, holes, semi-live knots, and splits) as well as physical dimensions. By comparing defect size, type, and quantity against preset parameters, the system determines the veneer grade and executes grading and stacking operations; it is particularly suited for sorting face and core veneers used in plywood production. The equipment can operate as a standalone unit or be integrated into veneer rotary-peeling or drying production lines.
